From the WorldCOMP Founder and International Director

WorldCOMPWorldCOMP Kenya Relief International was born out of tragedy. In the year 2002, due to post election violence in the Nairobi slums, thousands of people were killed leaving hundreds of children as orphans. To meet the challenge of hundreds of children without food or shelter, Pastor Richard Vicknair and his wife, Valerie, teamed up with Osborn Obayo, a Kenyan psychologist and social worker, to start a feeding program in the Kibera, Slums. Never in our wildest dreams did we foresee how WorldCOMP would grow and expand to what it is today.

With each passing year, the Lord has helped up to start new programs to serve the poor, the sick and the needy. Our feeding programs evolved into educational centers, health centers and children’s homes. Our medical camps now provide free medical care to tens of thousands all over Kenya. Our micro-finance programs for widows and poor women have provided small loans for hundreds of women to start businesses to support their families. Our well projects have given the gift of clean water to people all over Kenya.

From our humble beginnings in 2002 there are now hundreds of Kenyan Volunteers and Staff who consider themselves part of the WorldCOMP family and who are working to lift the nation of Kenya out of poverty and to provide a hope and a future to thousands.

Thank you so much for your contributions to continue this important work in the country of Kenya!
