I want to invite you to join us for the next 14 days as we travel through Kenya. It is my earnest hope that these daily reports will inspire you in some way to care more deeply for those who live in desperate circumstances in our world. Due to the worldwide COVID crisis it’s been almost 3 years since we were able to visit Kenya in person, but the work has moved forward and prospered because our projects and ministries are managed and run by a committed and capable group of Kenyans. Many people are put off by the 20+ hour flight but, truthfully, I never give it a thought. Whenever I board a plane for Kenya my mind goes to our arrival at the Nairobi airport. As we came down the ramp from customs 14 familiar faces were waiting to receive us with open arms and sincere love. To be with these people is one of the greatest joys of my life. For over 15 years now we have built together, worked together, planned, dreamed together, suffered together and most importantly we have worshipped and prayed together and seen God do things beyond anything we have ever asked for or dreamed of.

We arrived in Nairobi at around 10pm, but unfortunately two of our suitcases never made the trip; they were still in Paris. “Count it all joy, my friends. We didn’t get to our guest house until 2AM. Believe me when I say, “We will not be on vacation for the next two weeks”. Tomorrow we are headed out to spend the day with the children and staff of our Worldcomp Kara Kibera School in the Kibera slums loaded with the precious cargo of $3500 worth of Textbooks for the school. This is a gift that the teachers have prayed for, for years. We will also be giving a financial gift to each one of the teachers and having fun with the 175 kids in the school. Please keep us in your prayers.  More tomorrow…
