WE’RE OFF TO KENYA

Our journey begins and we are both excited and a little apprehensive. Five member of our 9 member team are over 65 (a few of us way over 65) but all of us are ready for the challenge. As always, this will be no vacation. We will hit the ground running and won’t stop for two weeks. Personally I like it that way, because it gives me no time to complain about jet lag. Our route will take us through Dubai, where we will be put up overnight in a lovely hotel and have at least one night to acclamate to the time change. We will arrive at our hotel in Nairobi at about 11pm on Saturday and have our first Kenyan Church experience a few hours later at The Delieverance Church in a place called Mwiki. It’s always a delight for me to take a team into church, Kenyan style. It’s an eye opening experience and I consider it more fun than a Disneyland themepark.

Wish you were with us! Perhaps next year? Please keep us in your prayers. Pray especially for our health and safe travels.

Blessings to all of you dear friends.

LEMONADE LOVE

Energetic Kids raised $421.34 for our Children’s Feeding Program!

This energetic group of kids raised $421.34 for our Children’s Feeding program by selling lemonade. They enthusiatically told every customer about their friends in Kenya and that the money was going to feed them. Thanks kids for caring! I’ll show your picture to our kids in our Children’s home and let them know they have friends in Seattle.
