Today we made the journey from Kakamega to Nairobi.  I am sitting in the Kisumu airport right now typing this.  Before we could leave Pastor Simeon Obayo had to take us over for a tour of the Pendo Nursery at the church.  Valerie and I didn’t even know that this ministry existed.  The nursery has 230 precious little children from 2 to 4 years of age.  We also stopped at the Widows center in Majengo on our way by and found that 10 workman were busy spackling the walls with cement.  On Friday one of the nurses along with Worldcomp gave the center $1200 to continue finishing the downstairs walls so they can install the widows, and they got right on it (a rare thing in Kenya).

We bought a ticket for Nancy Odwaro to fly with us from Kisumu to Nairobi.  We are excited for her to see a Ministry in Nairobi that has improved the lives of thousands of women.  We believe it will be a great model for her to follow at the widows center.

We are so terribly saddened to hear of the death of Chad Kellogg, Ric and Peggy’s dear son, who died in a mountain climbing accident.  They are in our hearts and in our prayers.

We’ll report tomorrow from Nairobi.  Thank you all for your prayers.

All our love
Richard and Valerie
