Hello Dear Friends: Just wanted to send you a quick note before we fly out for Kisumu with Del and Corbett. A huge thanks to those who responded to my appeal for the finances to finish our orphanage and get it ready for the kids. Overnight we recieved half of the money we needed for the project. I got up this morning and it was like Christmas as I read your responses. Thank you for giving. There is a special blessing in the Bible for those who give to the poor, and i pray that you will experience it in a tangible way.
Tonight we sleep in the city of Majengo and we will visit the widows center there in the morning. The love between us and these widows is really thick. Many of them will be there just to greet us. I have to say, it is an honor just to be hugged by these old “Mamas”. Can’t wait to see them.
