Children Feeding Programs

Kara Kiberia Children Feeding Program from WorldCOMP on Vimeo.

WorldComp has established children’s feeding centers in a number of locations where children are malnourished.  Our Kibera Kids Center in the Kibera slum feeds and instructs 150 preschool children two meals every day.   Our tuition-free primary school in the Dagoretti slums in Nairobi feeds and teaches 400 children two meals a day.  Our orphanage in the Lenana district feeds and cares for 21 children daily.  With the help of dedicated Christian volunteers, we are feeding 575 children, two meals a day. For many of them it is the only meal they get. Our staff has also introduced a basic literacy program for kids who are unable to attend school. Many of our students are orphans and 50 of them are HIV positive. Our staff counsels with parents and guardians regarding their medication and long term health. The ongoing feeding of these children is one of our long term projects. We also have special events for parents and guardians to help them and share Christ.

Future Vision: To expand our feeding program as far as we possibly can.

Your contributions to our children’s feeding program will help us to maintain our present vital ministry to young children and allow us to expand our program to help many more kids. The need in slums is simply beyond imagination. Many of these children would die in childhood without our help.
