The Journey Begins

Greetings Partners in Prayer:

Can’t tell you how blessed and comforted we are to know that people will be praying for us on our journey. The other day I put out a message asking who would like to pray for us and, low and behold, 80 people responded to let us know that they wanted to be on the prayer team. This is a first! And it makes me wonder what wonders God wants to perform on this trip. I also wonder what challenges we may face that might require the grace and power of God.

Our entire team is now sitting at the gate awaiting our boarding call. There is a lot of excitement in the camp. It’s a very long trip so pray that the Lord will help us to rest, because there will be no rest on the other side. We will get to our rooms in Nairobi at around 11pm on Saturday night and we will be in church at 9:30 in the morning the next day. We will have no time for jet lag, so we are asking the Lord to touch each one of us.

Pray for our safety
Pray that our spirits will be strong
Pray especially for me as I lead the team and attend to the many little things that make it happen.

I’ll be in touch. Thank you all for your love and prayer support.
